Superhero fiction is found in mediums as wide ranging as comic books, movies, televison, the internet, books, magazines and even PC and console video games.

It is able to take us away from the everyday routine.

Capable of sending us on an action packed, emotional roller coaster ride of entertainment, by providing captivating stories that thrill our very senses!

I'm focusing on the medium of comic books because it all started from there, and that's the format I know best.

Sharing with you what I've learned along the way.

This unique art form unites fans from as far afield as North and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East to name a few. I will be mainly focusing on comic books inspired by the superhero genre as these are used as a canvas to tell great stories and entertain on many different levels. Comic book stories can also fulfill that primal, emotional need for heroes, people who triumph over almost impossible odds. To inspire to greatness.

With the recent success of movies such as Blade, Spider-Man, X-Men and Batman Begins to name a few, stories from comic books have leapt from the page to the big screen!

Not since the original Superman and Batman movies have comic book based films had such an impact!
