On 12th January 2010, a massive eathquake struck the island nation of Haiti. Located in the caribbean, the number of casualties was heartbreaking (possibly reaching 200,000) and thoughts and prayers go out to the survivors and relatives of the bereaved. The country's infrastructure was also destroyed and up to 3 million people remain affected. The Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) has coordinated all the UK's biggest charities to raise funds to help the thousands of people who need assistance. Please give anything to help out. Learn more at the DEC website, here http://www.dec.org.uk

I
watched Wall-E for the first time recently. An amazing film from Disney/Pixar. Told in CGI it paints a picture of life in the future after the planet has been overrun with rubbish (garbage). I thought it was quite ingenious the way how painstaking research made the story so much more believeable with a lot of heart. A running theme tune was taken from the musical Hello Dolly with a song called Put on your Sunday clothes. The actual video of the song was woven into the narrative and I show it to you here. I've grown to love the song as it encapulates a joy and an innocence that really strikes a chord. Here it is for you to listen to and enjoy.
Got
a link to this from Twitter which details the history of Google. They are one of the most innovative and inspirational companies out there due to the people behind it. I love how they have changed the digital landscape of the world in such a short time with inventions such as Google search. All the while helping people and enjoying life. This video is done in an animation style so sit back and enjoy.

Watching
my girlfriend play the Nintendo Wii has been quite therapeutic. De
Blob is a sweet painting game The Wii features motion sensor remote controls which you move around to direct the characters. This makes it a thoroughly interactive game and fun to watch and play. I discovered it for the first time not too long ago. My personal favourite game on the console is Wii Tennis which is part of a suite of games. You have to swing the control in the same way as a tennis racquet to get the ball over the net so, as you can imagine, it's a great laugh and I really get into it. I love this rendition of the X-Men. A fine attention to detail. Art by Phil Jiminez. All characters © & ™ Marvel Comics.
This is a sketch I did a little while back of artist Cammi Peterson. I quite like live drawings as I have a eye for distance and basic detail. Enjoy.

It's been a long time since I've played any games on my pc. I used to enjoy Quake and played it with a passion for hours on end. Nowadays, online games are the popular medium.
