There's a funky collection of artistes on display this year. I'm quite partial to Moldova's entry, but maybe not just for the song... Judging from the entrants I've seen so farthis time around, I think we may have a fighting chance to enter the top ten as ol' Daz is growing on me somewhat. Lithunia's "We are the winners, of Eurovision" is begging for nil points. Best perfomance had to go to Finland's entry "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by Lordi. Mad, mad, mad and crazy costumes. All great fun!! [And Lordi won it!!! Quality!!]
Didn't see that coming! Could a spin off be far behind? Cool use of Battersea Power Station. All in all, a great conclusion. Somehow, I don't think we've seen the last of the Cybermen...
Arsenal 1 - 2 Barcelona So near yet so far. Both teams played great but that sending off took it's toll. In all fairness, the two goals that Barcelona scored in quick succession were class. All in all, a great match. Now bring on the World Cup!!!
Arsenal 1 - 0 Barcelona What a cracker of a match!! Henry's missed chances, Lehmann's sending off, Campbell's goal and Eto'o's miss. This is better than the movies!!!
Was talking to my mate Pete at work today about The Sound of Music. What a quality film. Those songs are timeless. I remember in Primary school sitting around a piano with the class singing the tunes. Good times. Oh, and I must say hi to The Chief Investigator over at Harry's Tyres. (Long story...)
Does anybody else love chocolate raisins? Got a pack yesterday for the first time in ages. Believe me, once you start it's hard to stop. Lovely.
So, the Cybermen are back! And what a comeback it was too. I'm glad this was a two parter so they could explore the relationships in a bit more depth. Mickey and Ricky were class and it was good to learn a bit more about his past. Ditto for Rose. I like the detail, thought and research that has clearly gone into each episode. Thoroughly deserved it's BAFTA for best TV drama!
Looks like it's going to be another fine day today. I think it's safe to say that the Spring/Summner tag team has finally overcome Winter to become the undisputed season of the northern hemisphere. Good times ahead!
After listening to Ruth's explanation to Sir Alan on why she should get the job I knew it was over for her. Too pushy, too forceful. I was stunned by Michelle's laid-back-ness (for want of a better word). Pure class. Bring on the third series!!!
Yep, it's finally here! After much oooh-ing and ahhh-ing I've decided to plump with Michelle. Ruth has got skills but I feel Michelle is more of a team player. So, I guess we'll soon know. BBC2. 9pm Care to watch?
Did I hear the Apprentice won a Bafta?! Must check the details. LBC radio has been interviewing the 'fired ones' the morning after at about 6.30am. My wake up time. Glad to know people still recognise class when they see it. Absolute quality!
Can't believe Spurs didn't get that Champions League place. I'm absolutely gutted. The only consolation is that 5th is our best ever finish in the premiership. Oh, well there's always next year. UEFA Cup football here we come!!! We're in Europe!!!!!!!!
Just listening to his first album while ironing my shirts for work this week. You know, the one with My Perogative and Don't be cruel. Pure class and it's aged well since 1989.
Just watched the first episode of the new series of LOST. Thanks Sminchin for reminding me. Hasn't lost any of it's punch either. I can't second guess any of it so the surprises come in thick and fast. It's on Channel Four on Sundays with the next episode on E4 at 10pm the same day if you can't wait for a week. Cracking TV!
Four episodes in and the quality of Doctor Who continues. I'm a fan of period dramas anyway so this was a double treat. Mickey adds a dynamic which really adds to the flavour. Great to watch and again the bittersweet ending caught me off guard. Cybermen next week. (And was that Trigger I saw?! ) Don't miss it! Did the robot masks remind anyone else of V for Vendetta?
What a great few days we've had. Weather-wise, not re-shuffle... Looks like summer is well and truly here. (Apart from today of course). Are we ready
for Doctor Who?
Sir Alan made the right choices. Discuss. I had thought Paul would make the final but seeing his performance last night there were major flaws. Nothing that can't be fixed mind you. That experience will only do him good. Nice Guy Ansell was a little one-dimensional. Sales is a valuable skill, indeed it's the backbone of business, but a greater skill portfolio wouldn't of gone amiss. Just my two pence worth... Great episode though!
