Rawle Austin's Blog - Positive life commentary...

What is love...?

You cry I wipe away all your tears,
You scream I fight away all your fears,
and I hold your hand through all of these years,
you will always have all of me.

Freely adapted from My Immortal by Evanescence.

A classic tune. I love it.

Here's the original, written by A Lee, B Moody and D Hodges;

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

You used to captivate me
By your resonating life
Now I'm bound by the life you've left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

Who ate all the Pies...?

Ladies and Gentlemen.

I have finally seen the American Pie trilogy and damn, they're funny.

Haven't laughed so much in a long, long time.

Alyson Hannigan (Willow from Buffy) is a revelation.

The first one is particularly good and easily rates 8 out of 10.

The second and third get 7 out of 10.

Cheers Chris for the recommendation!

The score draw is Whytockian Wanderers 1 - 1 Austin Albion

Ok, now move along... nothing more to see here...

Ooh err, Doctor, it's the Ood!!

Now this is more like it.

A stronger sci - fi element and lots and lots of Ood!

Wonder how they're going to get the TARDIS back?

Guess we'll see next week in the second part.

It's all good!!

Summer? Is it really you???!!!

What a scorcher today, eh?

Gone out in my T-shirt for the first time in ages.

Could it be that summer is finally upon us????!!!!

Six of the best, and here comes Germany...

England 6 - 0 Jamaica

Sven's done a good job and this was a great swansong.

With the World Cup just around the corner we're heading into it with a real burst of confidence.

But just what is that Peter Crouch dance all about?

Here's hoping we see the whole team doing the robot in Germany.

Favourite Lord of the Rings Quotes and Scenes...

Here's mine;

Quote - "Put down the Ranger, and become the man you were born to be!" Gandalf to Aragorn

Scene - In the extended Two Towers Eowyn makes some soup for Aragorn. After tasting it he's just about to spit it out when she turns to him to ask how he likes it.

His facial expression is absolute genius.

That's mine, how about yours?

Tim and the Hidden People...

Does anyone remember this cool series of books from their schooldays?

I used to love them with a passion and their influence still runs deep...

Anyway, they were written by Sheila K McCullagh.

These guys remember the books well and they made a cool website about them.

For those who don't know, Tim was the original Harry Potter and this was a quality read.

So if anyone's feeling nostalgic or wants to introduce this to their kids, please check it out.

You may now return to your regular browsing...

Them Pussycat Dolls...

Is it just me or are all of their tunes incredibly catchy.

You know, the type you find yourself humming to, for the rest of the day.

The videos aren't bad either...

And the released singles from the latest Black Eyed Peas album are amazing.

If music be the food of life, play on!

X-Men 3: The Last Stand

Saw this yesterday. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, go and see it.

Fantastic movie and great entertainment. If you don't know by now I'm a bit of a superhero comic book fan and this movie does the genre justice.

I give it 8 out of 10.

Quality!

Long time, no see...

Is this really the end of May?

Where's the sun?

The garden's loving it but I need a little bit of summer.

But enough complaining, been a busy ol' week. Doing stuff for Chinatown magazine and Growlersworld.com.

Glad for the Bank holiday break.

Hope all is well with you all.

The Doctor's Wired...

Nostalgic episode this one [Doctor Who].

Quite charming too, love the 'coming of TV' references. Kind of like now in terms of broadband, HD and the other new technologies spreading worldwide.

I'm liking the variety of stories and eager for more.

Bring it on!
