Last wednesday I did something I've wanted to do for years.

I took a bus tour around London.

You know, those open top buses that you see everyday but take for granted.

I guess it's one of those things that happens when you've lived in London all your life, surrounded by all this fascinating history and great sites that you never make time for it.

Anyway, the ticket included a cruise on the Thames and I totally enjoyed both. It's also valid for the whole day so you can get off and on at your leisure.

I was impressed by the wealth of knowledge displayed by the guides, all without notes no less!

I went with The Original Tour (though there are other companies that do it too).

I recommend it to anyone who's in London and wants a different perspective.

Yes it's back, the show where we love to cringe and learn at the same time.

Disposable toilet seat covers, anyone?

Have to admire the guts of the contestants though.

And it's always good to be reminded of the importance of doing your homework (market research).

So that's why they drummed on about it in school...

We're currently ranked 5th so hopefully Steve McClaren can improve on this over time;

China is ranked 89th;

and Guyana is 131st.

Saw this today.

I rate it 7 out of 10.

It's a good movie and a good homage to the first two original movies.

I thought it a little slow in places and as a massive superhero fan I really wanted to see a bit more action, but the special effects were outstanding.

They wisely used the original theme tune which always raises the hairs on your back. Pure class.

But I can truly say the Christopher Reeve version was a touch superior.

Go and see it.

Went to see this today and quite liked it.

It's an interesting sequel which ended on a cliffhanger.

All the old faces return and it's a lot of fun.

I'll give it 7 out of 10. It's well worth seeing.

This one had it all.

Loved the Daleks/Cybermen clash.

Loved the meeting of Rose's Mum and Dad.

Loved the nod to Gallifreyan science in the Genesis Ark.

Loved the last minute save by Rose's Dad.

Loved the final bittersweet goodbye.

Loved the crazy, cliffhanger ending.

Basically, I loved it!

I heard about the new companion and happy to see the fitness quotient will continue...

Went to my mate's wedding yesterday. It was my first Indian Hindu wedding and it was great to see and experience. She looked stunning and a good time was had by all.

Just came back from a Chinese meal today with my old Chinese teacher and some of her students.

Always a pleasure to meet fellow China lovers and more and more people are taking up the language of Mandarin Chinese.

Have to brush up on mine though!
