The GrowlersWorld Interviews are an ongoing quest, bringing you closer to successful and creative people in all walks of life. Rawle Austin presents... A conversation with Lai Li Hui - Spreading Inspiration from China to the World!
When I was a baby I was so ugly that my parents used the word Li as it’s Chinese meaning is ‘beautiful’ and the word Hui which means bright and resplendent. My name is full of my parents hopes. They wish that I can grow more beautiful and my future will be filled with much splendor. I will make my parents’ dreams come true. RA: Where is your hometown and what is it's name? LLH: My hometown is an ordinary countryside which is located in Chao Zhou city, Guang Dong province. Its' name is Zhe Lin and you are welcome to visit it. RA: Can you describe your hometown? LLH: It is situated along the coastline by the beach and has a lot of sunshine. It has been blessed with beautiful, natural scenery and peace. There are many kinds of seafood which are really delicious and you also can enjoy the dawn by the sea.
LLH: Because I am eager to make much money in the future so my family can lead a better life than they have now. I also strive to provide a better service to my country and people. RA: Can you describe the life in your college? What do you enjoy most about it? LLH: I have been studying in Dong Guan University of Technology for about half a year. Here we have good teachers who devote themselves to passing on knowledge to their students. I also have interesting, friendly classmates and close friends with whom I can often talk and share my happiness and sadness. I also get along well with my roommates.
I also like some meat without fat such as pork, beef, chicken and so on. RA: What makes you happy and why? LLH: There are many things that can make me happy. In my opinion, happiness is so easy to get depending on your attitude to life. Most of the things around me, even a cup of tea, make me satisfied with my life. In addition, when I help people I feel happy as I am needed. RA: What do you like to do when you are not studying? LLH: I like to have a walk to find time to reflect on what I have done in the past. What’s more, I can think of the previous plans I have made and my life in general. I like listening to some light music and some English pop songs to relax myself. I also go to do some exercises with my friends to keep fit. Dragging myself out of the busy study schedule, I sometimes prefer to search the internet than do any other things. RA: What would you like to do when you finish studying ? LLH: I first plan to find a job in a company and learn management. I think that I will work there for about one or two years until I confirm I have gained the relevant work experience. Then I will begin my own business.
Of course, China has been developing better and better in the modern world and has ten thousand changes in the twinkling of an eye. So China should get more respect and attention. RA: Why do you like to learn English? LLH: Studying English brings me pleasure and a sense of achievement and makes me feel well rewarded. It is a beautiful melody in my heart every time I hear. English, as the most widely used language in the world, is playing an important role in the world business and international affairs. With English, we can introduce the unique beauty and charm of our ancient civilization to the world. In addition, we can promote business cooperation and culture exchanges with other countries. In other words, it is very necessary to master this language.
My father is a retailer and my mother is a housewife. My older brother is a department manager in a building company and my younger brother will enter university as he passed the college entrance exam this year. They are very handsome in my eyes. My family are the most important people in my heart and that will never change. I love my family as much as they love me. RA: And finally, what would you like to say to everyone reading this interview? LLH: Thank you for reading this interview. My motto is "Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it." Let us try our best to do everything what we want to do. Best of luck for you. Thank you!
