RA:
Where is your hometown?
WCL: My home town is Xiao Chang county, Xiao Gang district
in HuBei province, which is in the middle of China, slightly towards the
south.
RA: Can you describe your hometown?
WCL: My hometown is a very good place, there are rivers,
small hills, but not big mountains. ChangJiang (the Yangtze River) runs
through HuBei Province.
RA: Why did you leave your hometown?
WCL: Because it was difficult for me to find a good job
there. But, in GuangDong, it is easy for me to find a job. Now, i have
been working in GuangDong for nearly 10 years. I have to stay in GuangDong
for more years, because I have made a home here.
RA:
Where did you go to University and what did you study?
WCL: My college is in HuBei and I studied Electronics
Technologies. However, my work in the recent past has been for marketing
and sales.
RA : Where are you working and living now?
WCL: I am now a house wife, But I am planning to
open a training centre for teaching computers and English. That
is my plan.
I
am talking with different people for licences and a place to rent
now. Starting is difficult, but once I begin, I have confidence
that I can manage it.
Now,
i live in TangXia Town, Dong Guang City, GuangDong provinice, China. |
|
 |
RA:
Where did you live and work before?
WCL: I have worked in GuangZhou, Shenzhen, and now in
DongGuan.
RA: What is your favourite food and why?
WCL: My favorite food is rice. I have been eating it
since I was a child. I think it is the best food.
RA:
What makes you happy?
WCL: To be working happily, making progress, studying,
learning more knowledge and being a rich person can make me happy.
And, of course, I need to be healthy.
RA: What do you like to do when you are
not working?
WCL: I like to read books, study about the market
for which kind of business is good.
RA:
Why do you like to do business?
WCL:
Because, I think, only by doing business can give me the chance
to make more money, and be free, because I can adjust my working
time if I am a boss and do business myself.
RA: Why should people do business with China now?
|
|
 |
WCL:
Because, China's price is cheaper, and, the quality has improved a lot
compared to how it was in the past.
RA: Please talk about your previous work experience.
WCL: I have been a sales leader in one factory for 7
years. I was responsible for goods export in the past. I have also managed
a sales team of 10 people
RA:
Please talk about your previous business experience.
WCL: I have helped my sister run two barber shops.
RA: Why should people come to visit China?
WCL: Because, China is big for the land, and has
many different tourist places.
And
many old and traditional cultural things to see, which you can not
see in other countries. |
|
 |
RA:
Why do you like to learn English?
WCL:
Because, English can make us be capable to communicate with overseas people.
English
is spoken by many countries but, Chinese is not used so popularly.
Although
there are many people (most are Chinese) who can speak Chinese.
RA: What do you think about the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008?
WCL:
I think is is a good thing to Chinese. It can push China to build
the modern buildings, and do someting to make BeiJing more improved
and modern.
RA: What do you know about London, England?
WCL:
I know it is a cultural city, with gentlemen, and nice girls. The
people seem more polite and educated properly.
RA: Can you introduce your family?
|
|
 |
WCL:
My family is a normal family in China. My husband, my daughter who is
2 years old now, and me.
So
there are only 3 people in my family.
We
have no plans to have any more children because the cost is too high.
If
I have any more children I am afraid I will use a lot of my time
with them.
With
my child at the moment, I can not find as much time as before to
develop myself.
So,
if I have two or more children, it will be even harder to find time
to do something develop myself.
I
will be lost.
I
want to give an education to my child, but, I don't want to give
up too many things for myself. |
|
 |
RA:
And finally, what would you like to say to everyone reading this interview?
WCL: I hope they can like China, and they can see China's
improvement in the future. And, I hope they can spend more time to get
to know about China, and make friends with Chinese.
