New pictures of London have been added here! You'll notice photo's taken at various Chinese New Year celebrations in Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square which I attend every year. The events always provide amazing entertainment and great photographs. All the London pictures have been taken over the last four years and I continue to snap interesting locations around the UK's capital to this day. Enjoy the photos!
Pictures have been added to the recent interviews with Benjamin Chan and Suki Chan. Over the course of conducting the GrowlersWorld Interviews I've learned a great deal, including how to present better quality photos on the site. Therefore I'll be going back and touching up some of the older interview pictures from the beginning so as to give you a more quality reading experience. Also, the final photos from my recent stay in China are now up here and here.
Random Thoughts have been neatly packaged into edible bundles for your snacking pleasure. 18 volumes have so far been baked to perfection on a mission to provide inspiration whenever you need it. You'll see the journey and the evolution of a writing style from the frivolous to the current inspirational mix.

After a little research I've decided to withdraw the Favourite Videos feature. Due to the lack of control over showing the clips, they could be unavailable at any time, I had to act to preserve the quality of this site. I've changed some of the basic layout of the site, which involved creating a logo;
and breaking up the main header at the top of each page where you'll see two mini menus with various options. Also, all the photographs will be located on the right hand side menu down the page. Constant change and improvement is what I'm aiming for.
Following from the utter human tragedy of the massive earthquake which occured in Sichuan province, China on May 12, I have been provided with some images from a friend in China. These pictures are very distressing and my thoughts go out to the survivors and to the families who have tragically lost loved ones. I encourage you to donate to the relief effort if you can.
I returned to the UK yesterday after spending one month in China due to the death of a close friend of mine, Irene Cai. I was able to say goodbye to her in my own way, spend time with her family, see old friends and make new ones. Life is precious. Every day is a moment to be treasured. Whether it be time spent with loved ones or just doing the things you enjoy. I will always endeavour to do the things I enjoy most, helping people and enjoying life.

It's funny how you see things every day, but never really see them. Living in London, amidst the wealth of architectural and natural beauty, I found it's easy to miss it when you're going about daily life. Sometimes it's good to take a little time out to appreciate it.

2007 was supposed to be the Year of the GrowlerVerse. Didn't quite work out like that. I've been dusting down old notes and writing up fiction concepts that have now been added to The GrowlerVerse section. The home for original home grown sci-fi and fantasy story concepts. More to follow.

Every so often I like to toy around with the look of the GrowlersWorld homepage to keep everything fresh and clean. This is the first page people see and first impressions do count. It will be a constant process in trying to obtain the best look possible for the site.
Ok, a couple of major additions to announce! Firstly, new reviews have been added to Growler's Hidden Anime. This column is now spread over two volumes. The first one is here. Secondly, three astounding Iron Man mini videos have been added to the Superhero Fiction column so head over there now to check them out! This column has also been split into two volumes. Here's the first one.
The top 20 parts of GrowlersWorld for the whole of 2007 have now been calculated for the first time and are presented to you for your enjoyment. I've also included the monthly Unique Visitor statistics for the same year. As always, the goal is for continuous month on month, year on year increases in hit counts and unique visitors.
One life changing experience that I've been through occured while teaching English in China in 2004. I discovered the place known as TangXia Town for the first time. I recorded the moments through my camera and I'm proud to announce the second installment of photographs from this time. GrowlersWorld was inspired by my love of superhero comic books. This passion led me to create this site and it grew from there. The love is still strong and I've just added to my superhero fiction comment column.

First of all, amazing new photographs of Beijing, the Three Gorges Dam and Xi'an in China have been added. Growler's Random Thoughts have been updated, here. You'll notice a new logo at the top right hand side of the site. This is the Chinese translation for GrowlersWorld - Helping People, Enjoying Life'. The Chinese pinyin translation reads Yang Chen de Shi Jie - Bang Zhu Ta Ren, Xiang Shou Sheng Huo. Where GrowlersWorld = Yang Chen de Shi Jie (or Yang Chen's World). Yang Chen is my Chinese name. I had it made up whilst in China last year for the site's Chinese speaking audience and it currently links to GrowlersWorld Photographs. I eventually plan to have it link to an introductory page in Chinese. The left hand side menu shows a link to Oxfam which does great work worldwide helping people. Click the green Oxfam logo to have a look at the great work they do.
