GrowlersWorld was inspired by my love of superhero comic books.

This passion led me to create this site and it grew from there.

The love is still strong and I've just added to my superhero fiction comment column.

The joy continues...

I've updated the list of amazing upcoming movies that you need to be checking out.

Storytelling at it's most fantastic and totally entertaining.

In a flash of inspiration, new Random Thoughts have been created which I'd like to share with you all.

This is now the third volume of Random Thoughts.

Read the first and second volumes to see what you've been missing.

And in a slight change, the anime column has been renamed to Watching Dragon, Growler's Hidden Anime.

The separate, classic column, Watching Dragon, Hidden Growler covers Chinese and other East Asian films for your reading pleasure.

Originally taken in 2004 on my three month English teaching trip, these pictures are shown in this format for the very first time!

Out of nowhere!

The latest site addition is... Growler's Favourite Videos!

Inspiration can come from many sources and, for me, TV theme tunes can highlight creative excellence.

Taken from YouTube, a few videos that have really blown my mind with their ingenuity and innovation over the years are shown here in all their glory.

First of all, amazing new photographs of Beijing, the Three Gorges Dam and Xi'an in China have been added.

Growler's Random Thoughts have been updated, here.

You'll notice a new logo at the top right hand side of the site.

This is the Chinese translation for GrowlersWorld - Helping People, Enjoying Life'.

The Chinese pinyin translation reads Yang Chen de Shi Jie - Bang Zhu Ta Ren, Xiang Shou Sheng Huo.

Where GrowlersWorld = Yang Chen de Shi Jie (or Yang Chen's World).

Yang Chen is my Chinese name.

I had it made up whilst in China last year for the site's Chinese speaking audience and it currently links to GrowlersWorld Photographs.

I eventually plan to have it link to an introductory page in Chinese.

The left hand side menu shows a link to Oxfam which does great work worldwide helping people.

Click the green Oxfam logo to have a look at the great work they do.

Just added pictures of Shanghai, taken in 1999, to the GrowlersWorld Photographs section!
