The last month in 2007 came with a few surprises, not least of which, a shocker with the Jonathan FeBland interview smashing into the top 10 for the first time at number 4!

This was the interview that kickstarted the whole interviews feature and was a great learning experience.

Also, the newest feature of the site the GrowlersWorld Photographs made its presence known at number 9 and number 11!

The top 20 showed increases from last month as did the bottom line, number 20. The overall trend is up and for the first time since August the top 2 entries breached the 1000 hits mark!

An amazing increase in hits was recorded by the number one entry and slight increases throughout the chart show that overall interest is on the up.

The fantastic Christopher Whytock interview flying back into the charts at entry number 12? Surely a welcome return!

I'm also aiming to grow the bottom line, the last on the list, entry number 20.

This is the first chart reflecting the time I was in China for three months.

The site was not updated during that period and so a drop off in hits was expected and can be clearly seen in the top three entries.

However, slight increases were recorded in most of the rest of the chart which leads me to believe an element of stablisation has occured.

The amazing Barrie Armstrong interview stormed back into the chart at number 18 after a long absence

There's a sense that the site has found a core audience and can stand on it's own two feet which is great news. We'll see what happens in the coming months of course.

These are rather special as they feature the period when I changed hosts from Velnet on 19th May to current host 1&1.

I've combined the numbers from both hosts to arrive at the final figures. Both hosts use different methods to calculate site hits so expect differences from now onwards.

On looking at the below statistics its easy to get carried away with talk of a breakthrough.

Though there is a clear increase in hits, due to many of the site pictures now being listed in Google Images, I've learnt that all web hosts calculate their number of hits in different ways.

The below stats are courtesy of Velnet and are quite high as you can see. My current host 1&1 is still showing an overall increase but on a slightly smaller scale.

You'll see this difference take effect in the June figures with the first full month of stats calculated by web host 1&1.

I check all stats daily to gauge which parts of the site are popular and what needs improvement.

Most people find the site either by personal referrals or through words and pictures from search engines.

Therefore, the conclusion is that the overall trend of site hits is up, and that's very encouraging.

This site currently has 133 pages. The top twenty list highlights the most popular pages of the site.

As webhost 1&1 uses a different method of measurement, the number of hits will look quite different from previous top twenty lists.

The key thing I'm trying to achieve is that those hit numbers continue to rise each and every month.

Then we'll all know Growlersworld.com is moving in the right direction.

Growlersworld.com is now hosted by 1&1 web hosting.

After a very smooth transition from my previous host, Velnet, which resulted in the site staying up the whole time, I'm now able to upload to the site.

All stat information from mid May and June onwards will be courtesy of 1&1.

These figures mark the end of one era and the beginning of another.

The Anime Growler column (now known as Watching Dragon, Hidden Anime) broke the 500 hits a month barrier in March.

This outstanding achievement however has since been eclipsed by one column, in April, which I will highlight in the next stats round up.

Basically, the Growlersworld readership is growing at a faster pace.

These charts will be quite surprising over the coming months.

I've stumbled across something of a breakthrough and this will be seen starting from the March figures which will be posted here in two weeks.

In fact, one column has reached over 2000 hits this month (April 2007) and climbing!

In contrast, February was a bit of a slow month as can be seen below.
