Welcome to my world. My English name is Leanne Liang.

I come from JiangXi Province in China and am now based in GuangDong Province.

I would like to introduce you to a modern view of China from my unique and personal point of view.

My Lovely Nephew

I have a lovely nephew; his name is Liang Yuxin, given to him by his beloved aunt. Me. The name means the star in the universe. We call him Xinxin for short. Xinxin had his second birthday when I went home in summer. Xinxin has tanned skin and a pointed face. He loves his dark short hair, but he doesn’t like a barber to cut his hair. He acts as if someone has cut his skin when he has a hair-cut. His big sparkly eyes are very attractive, many people, whoever has seen him, all say his eyes are bigger than his beloved aunt’s.

The forehead is a little bit big to his head, but people say it is the sign of wisdom.

Xinxin has a little mouth and a nice looking nose; they are very beautiful when he talks.

As a two year old child, he has an average height.

His sturdy legs can run fast, but he doesn’t like to use them a lot, whenever his grandma goes out, he likes to follow and his grandma has to carry him.

His flexible arms like to touch anything he can. He likes to carry his baby sister, help his sister to take a bath and help his grandpa to repair tables and chairs, but everything will be messier with his help. He has a little plump tummy, which can contain many cakes and icy food (Club-shaped Popsicles are his favorite snack in summer and he is insistent in calling his uncle to buy a refrigerator with many popsicles).

My nephew might become a fashion model if he keeps the habit of matching clothes. In my family, he is an expert in clothing.

Never mind how young he is, he has the ability to see which colour goes with which colour.

If the clothes do not match, he will never put them on. His favorite clothes are the ones in set.

For shoes, he has a special taste, he likes his grandma’s and mom’s high heel shoes instead of baby shoes. He also likes to put his petite feet into his aunt’s big sneakers. Xinxin is an active, smart boy. He uses his little fingers to pull his great-grandpa’s silver beard to make people laugh. Learning to drive an electrical car is a piece of cake to him; disassembling a new toy car is even easier.

Helpfullness is one of his best traits, whenever he sees someone doing something, he always offers a hand, but mostly, he just makes things worse.

He is a considerate boy. One time, his grandma fell down from a motorcycle and her knees hurt badly, when his grandma tried to carry him, he would say, “No, Grandma’s knees are painful, Xinxin can walk.” And he always helped his grandma to get medicine and cream.

If it is meal time, he never forgets to call all the people to come to the dinning room and arrange people’s seats.

How can you not love a lovely boy like him?
