Did you have a chance to go to the countryside this summer? I did.

In the south of China, it’s very hot at this time of year.

Many people don’t like this season as they are afraid of the hot weather, especially in the city.

You just don’t know what to do without air-conditioning. But in the countryside, it’s unnecessary to worry about the high temperature.

In my hometown, Yichun city, Jiangxi province, which is to the north of Guangdong province, there are many springs and rivers around our small village.

The water is very cool and clean so if you feel hot and thirsty you can wash yourself in the rivers and drink at the springs where the water tastes sweet.

As the cottages are made of earth, they are very cool to live in, and you don’t need a fan to cool yourself. You may feel cold if you sleep without a quilt at night!

In the morning, the air is very fresh, and the temperature is mild.

If you get up early and go outdoors, your eyes will be filled with green grass, green trees and many other green plants.

All of these are not only good for your health but for your mood.

In the evening, you can see many insects come out of their holes.

Though some of them are poisonous, you needn’t be afraid, because they never hurt you if you don’t touch them.

There is a small bridge over the river where people can have a small party.
