I love the wings in this sketch. They can be so majestic and a powerful visual. I'm always on the lookout for iconic designs and failing that I make them myself. This sketch is a homage to artist Tom Grummett. I like the costume redesign, it feels right and distinguishes itself from the other characters. The fist, which is one of my weak art points, was done by photographing my own fist and using that as the template. I'll be using that method for drawing hand gestures in future to increase the authenticity of the sketch.
