Welcome to the GrowlersWorld Universe. Or 'The GrowlerVerse' for short. The GrowlersWorld Universe is a kind of virtual creative laboratory where I visualize all manner of ideas. Transforming them from imaginative concepts into reality. Featuring action adventure, supernatural, sci-fi and fantasy elements.

All wrapped around superhero fiction, anime and wuxia storytelling and my own original designs. Pioneering and developing innovative superhero concepts. You'll find great characters, great stories and great visuals! Inspired by my love of superhero comic books it aims to showcase the Fantastic among the Ordinary!

This is the start of the new batch of sketches for The Eight. I redesigned TechSorcery's costume to give it a more superhero feel. Wasn't happy with the long red stripes down the legs. I also added a hood to the cloak, replacing the large collars which look a bit dated. Glendon Grey is TechSorcery. One of his powers is being able to control some aspects of the weather. The concept is partially inspired by the myths of Merlin and King Arthur.

London based superhero goodness is in full effect here. I'm fleshing out his back story along with the other members of the team. Now I'm coming to the end of my run of reviewing Chinese and East Asian films, in the Watching Dragon section of the site, I can devote more time to building up The Eight. They will be my main focus, though I will keep GrowlersWorld as a kind of 'super-blog'. Balancing writing and sketching is a fun exercise and its cool to see the ideas and concepts taking shape.
