Naruto is a quality anime series, click here to find out more! One of its ending theme tunes is just utterly amazing! It really hit me for it's simple beauty Sung by the girl duo Rhythem the song is called Harumonia. A beautiful tune. Check it out!
Of course, consequences, as always, start to occur. I have to say I loved this film with a passion and I loved Makoto's story. It was well grounded in everyday life and thus was very realistic. I think this has raised the bar for all animated films to come. Voiceover actor Riisa Naka who plays Makoto really breathes life into her and causes Makoto to burst through the screen. Seen in the interactions with her friends and family you believe totally in this world and are eager to follow her journey. This story is actually an adaptation of a classic piece of Japanese science fiction by Yasutaka Tsutsui. He has won multiple awards for his novels and short stories. This is the first time this story has been animated. Mamoru Hosada directed this film and, based on it, I will definitely check out more of his stuff. The way he has constructed the voiceover performers to bring out the best of the scenes and acts is clear to see. He has previously worked on Crying Freeman, Digimon and One Piece.
Hosada won the 2007 Tokyo Anime Award for The girl who leapt through time and, in my opinion, it was well deserved. Screenwriter Satoko Okudera, who wrote the screenplay for this film, did a sterling job adapting the original novel for the big screen. The beats (character actions) were well chosen and moved the story along nicely at a brisk pace. The bulk of her previous work has been in live action television and this attention to character detail shines throughtout the movie. All in all I have to rate this film 9 out of 10 for the incredible effort and end result of the cast and crew. I heartily recommend you see it. It's released in the UK at the ICA cinema in London on the 19th September 2008 to be followed by a DVD release by Manga Entertainment.

Suddenly, the power strikes! And she will never be the same again. The Doji Group, waiting for an age for the mythical weapon to re-appear, now begin to make their move. Witchblade is a suspenseful, action thriller with a hint of the supernatural. I give it 7 out of 10 for a great adaptation of the original concept. It's released by MVM.
